Shane has a BA in Film (H) from TU Dublin and an MA in Screenwriting (H) from the National Film School and finished Screen Skill Ireland’s inaugural Producing Program with first-class honors in 2020. In 2019 he was nominated for the Discovery Award for producing, writing, directing, and editing his debut feature film “Dub Daze”. In 2020 his debut LGBTIQA+ short film "True" had its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival, it won best short at the Marbella International Film Festival and was nominated for the Emerging Directors Award. In March 2020 he was invited to pitch his feature script “True” at JETS during Berlinale. He has received scholarships to Sundance Collab Writing for Television 1 & 2. In 2022 his music documentary “Nearly Never Made Me” premiered at the Marbella International Film Festival and was nominated for best documentary. He has been short-listed for the Edinburgh Network and his portfolio of produced short films ranging in budgets from € 3000-50,000 have screened at international film festivals over the last five years. He has recently pitched his third feature film at Jets during Berlinale as part of team UK. He is in post-production of his French/Irish proof of concept pilot "Percheron" filmed with Benjamin Garnier.
